PartMiner buys IQXpert

New York--PartMiner, an electronics components portal, announced Monday that it has agreed to acquire IQXpert in a stock deal valued at about $100 million. Englewood, Colo.-based IQXpert owns CAPSXpert, a subscription-based database of electronics component information, and ItemQuest, a component and supplier management solution. PartMiner plans to incorporate the CAPSXpert database into its Free Trade Zone, an online marketplace scheduled to launch next year. PartMiner says that more than 100,000 engineers and components purchasers have registered to use PartMiner 3.0, the company's free online sourcing tool.
