Published on .

New York--PartMiner, a business-to-business electronic-commerce portal, plans to launch an online marketplace early next year directed primarily at semiconductor and integrated circuit businesses. The site will be called the Electronic Commerce Free Trade Zone and will be accessible through PartMiner's home page (www.partminer.com). The Net venue will allow buyers of semiconductors and integrated circuits to check supplier availability and prices and make online purchases. IBM Corp., Somers, N.Y., is assisting PartMiner in developing the software for the site.
