For example, when Advertising Age (a sibling publication of Media Business) recently named The Economist its Magazine of the Year, it cited the following: In the January-through-mid-August period, the North American edition of The Economist saw an ad page increase of more than 7% over the prior-year period, while Time and Newsweek's ad pages were both down 25% and U.S. News & World Report was off 34%.
