PC Week plans Web security conference

Published on .

Medford, Mass.--Ziff-Davis Inc.'s PC Week magazine will hold a conference called "The Web Security Summit" in Boston, June 26-29. The event will be the first in a planned series of Internet-related conferences that PC Week will create with DCI, a producer of IT trade shows. The event also marks the first conference to be announced since Ziff-Davis revealed last week that ZD Events, which holds the Comdex trade show, was to be spun off as a separate company. Willis Stein and Partners, Chicago, which is slated to officially take ownership of Ziff-Davis Publishing next week, had stated that it wanted to create conferences affiliated with specific magazines in the Ziff-Davis stable.
