‘PC World’ names Fox as VP-editorial director

San Francisco—International Data Group's PC World Communications announced Tuesday that it has named Steve Fox VP-editorial director of PC World, effective Oct. 6. Fox has served as editor in chief of Affinity Labs for the past year. He served as managing editor, senior editor and executive editor of I>PC World between 1990 and 1996, before joining another IDG publication, The Web, as editor in chief. He was editorial director of CNET.com from 1999 to 2002 and returned to IDG as editor in chief of nfoWorld in 2003.
