New York—Ziff Davis has introduced a PC Magazine iPad app that is available in the App Store and Apple Newsstand. The app, which will be updated monthly, contains no advertising.
“Because we ceased the print publication a few years ago [in 2008] and shifted purely to the Web, we were able to design an iPad edition from scratch with the iPad consumer in mind,” said Dan Costa, editor in chief at Ziff Davis, in a statement. “We know consumers love rich content but hate long download times. The April issue is only 70MB, and the exclusion of advertising is another great benefit to readers.”
The April issue is available for $3.99; an annual subscription is $19.99.
PC Magazine's other digital editions, available on Zinio and elsewhere, have a paid circulation of about 50,000, according to the company.
