Peer39 introduces SemanticMatch ad platform

New York—Peer39, an online advertising company, announced the launch of SemanticMatch, an online advertising platform that uses natural language processing to deliver targeted advertising.

SemanticMatch allows marketers to deliver relevant ads on Web pages and social networks based on an analysis of content meaning and sentiment. Peer39 also announced that it has closed $8 million in financing.

Canaan Partners is the lead investor, with participation from existing investors Dawntreader Ventures and JP Morgan.
