PennWell plans ‘green’ publication

Tulsa, Okla.—PennWell Corp. announced the debut of Renewable Energy World North America. The bimonthly magazine, a brand extension of Renewable Energy World Network (which is based in London), will debut in September with a circulation of 25,000.

PennWell said the new magazine will be the flagship media sponsor of the Renewable Energy World Conference and Expo North America.

“There is an undeniable momentum shift at all levels of government and large businesses to address climate change, and a broad recognition of the strong role of renewable energy in reducing greenhouse gas emissions,” Dick Rauner, group publisher of Renewable Energy World North America, said in a statement.

PennWell launched Photovoltaics World, a magazine covering the solar energy industry, earlier this year.
