Cleveland--Penton Media Inc. announced it has agreed to acquire the National Advisory Group, a Jacksonville, Fla.-based trade group serving the convenience store and petroleum marketing industry. The group sponsors two industry conferences which are aimed at executives. The move is consistent with Penton's acquisition strategy, which has been to bolster its print publications with trade shows and other events. In this case, Penton Media's Donohue Meehan Publishing Co. subsidiary will align its magazine, Convenience Store Decisions
, with the National Advisory Group conferences.
