New York—Penton has created a unit to consolidate its newly expanded business aviation assets. The Penton Business Aviation Group includes Business & Commercial Aviation, which Penton acquired from McGraw Hill Financial in August, as well as Penton's Ac-U-Kwik, Aircraft Bluebook, Air Charter Guide, Airportdata.com, Air Transport World and SpeedNews. ‪Frank Craven, previously group publisher for Penton's Aviation Group, has been named managing director of the new business aviation unit; he reports to Greg Hamilton, Penton Aviation Market leader and president of Aviation Week.‬ The company also announced the launch of print and digital redesigns of the Business & Commercial Aviation brand. “Business Aviation now becomes a core platform for growth and we are establishing a market group for focus,” said Warren Bimblick, senior VP-strategy and business development, in a statement. The company is also expanding its Ac-U-Kwik business aviation flight planning products with a new iPad app and a strategic alliance with RocketRoute to deliver flight-planning services to business aviation operators.
