Penton cuts hours, pay for staff

Cleveland—Penton Media confirmed Tuesday that it has cut its work schedule to four days a week during the summer months, with a corresponding reduction in pay.

“Penton’s senior management team and I have carefully weighed the need for this expense reduction measure and feel that, while difficult, it will ensure Penton remains fundamentally sound and equipped to offset any potential short-term revenue declines,” Penton CEO Sharon Rowlands said in a statement.
