Cleveland--Penton Media announced Wednesday that it has delayed the report of its first-quarter financial results, which had been scheduled for Friday.

The company said it was “finalizing negotiations of a separation agreement with Chairman-CEO Thomas L. Kemp.” Kemp, who has agreed to stay on until a replacement is found, announced his resignation in March.

Penton said it expected to report its results by May 17.

The company also said it had employed the Cheyenne Group, an executive search firm, to search for Kemp’s replacement.
