Penton, Nürnberg form alliance

Boulder, Colo.--New Hope Natural Media, a division of Penton Media Inc., has formed an alliance with Nürnberg Global Fairs/BioFach America.

Together the companies will debut an event at the 19th annual Natural Products Expo East, which will take place Sept. 4-7, 2003, in Washington, D.C.

The event will be called Organic Products Expo--BioFach America. The show is intended to provide attendees information on international organic finished products and raw materials.

Retail sales of organic foods reached $8.5 billion in 2002, up from $1 billion in 1990, according to Nutrition Business Journal.
