Loveland, Colo.--In what may be a sign that the tech recession is easing, Penton Media announced Monday it will begin publishing Connected Home Magazine in April.

The publication is aimed at information technology professionals to help them choose and operate home technology for telecommuting, small office/home office, entertainment and home automation.

The magazine is part of an integrated media launch of print; in person; and online resources, including a weekly e-mail newsletter and a Web site, http://www.connectedhomemag.com.

Connected Home: The Event is scheduled for May 21-23 in Baltimore. Topics are expected to include mobile and wireless, home networking, home office and home controls.

“Many publishers have tried to tackle niches within this segment but they end up limiting their coverage to introducing the latest gadgets and fads,” said Karen Forster, publisher of Connected Home. “We're the first to actually explain how to use and integrate all this technology into your work and home life.”
