The Direct Marketing Association's Business-to-Business Council announced that Bruce Dahlgren, VP-general manager, North America, of Lexmark International's printing solutions and services division, has been named the 2005 B-to-B Marketer of the Year. The award will be presented to Dahlgren on March 23 during the DMA's Direct Marketing to Business Conference in Orlando, Fla. Prior to joining Lexmark, Dahlgren served as a VP for the Teradata Solutions Group of NCR Corp. He also held senior management positions in marketing, sales, services, finance, planning and business operations at NCR and AT&T.
Goodnough moves to new post at Grey
Grey Direct named Michael Goodnough to the newly created position of senior VP-director of marketing. Goodnough was previously principal at James Howard, an ad agency. He will be responsible for overseeing agency partnerships with companies in the wireless, SMS, search engine marketing and viral marketing sectors. Grey Direct Chairman-CEO Larry Kimmel said the new title was created so that the agency's direct marketing clients would have access to both traditional direct marketing and innovative technology marketing expertise.
MetroGroup taps Logan as CEO
MetroGroup Corp., a provider of direct mail production and printing services, appointed Robert E. Logan as CEO. Logan succeeds James D. McQuaid, who retained his title of chairman. Logan was previously president, Latin America at RR Donnelley.
Digitas hires Tannenbaum
Interactive agency Digitas has hired George Tannenbaum as executive creative director to lead creative efforts at the agency's Boston headquarters. Tannenbaum was previously senior VP-group creative director at Publicis & Hal Riney.
