James has been with Pitney Bowes since 1999, initially in human resources positions. She was named chief communications officer in 2006, with the corporate marketing function added the next year.
Before joining Pitney Bowes, James held senior executive positions at Doubleday Direct, a division of Bertelsmann Inc., and served in various positions over 20 years with Time Warner.
In July, James was one of 15 direct marketing executives named “Who's Who in B-to-B 2010”. James was recognized for pioneering new approaches to integrated and direct marketing that go beyond the mailroom at the 90-year-old company.
