Pitney Bowes says mailroom underserved

Danbury, Conn.--Pitney Bowes Inc. said Tuesday that mailroom managers believe their departments are inefficient because they lack effective management software. A survey of more than 200 managers found that more than 65% track jobs manually, which causes scheduling conflicts and communications problems and often makes it difficult for them to enforce service agreements with shipping companies and other service providers. Pitney Bowes markets a Web-based mailroom management system under the brand name Pitney Bowes docSense.
