Pittman takes over as Clear Channel CEO

New York—CC Media Holdings has named Bob Pittman as its CEO. In this role, Pittman, who joined Clear Channel last year as an investor and as chairman of the company's media and entertainment platforms, will oversee Clear Channel Radio, Clear Channel Outdoor Holdings and other CC Media Holdings properties. Pittman succeeds Mark Mays, who stepped down in. Mays remains chairman. In his career, Pittman has been CEO of MTV Networks, AOL Networks, Six Flags Theme Parks, Quantum Media, Century 21 Real Estate and Time Warner Enterprises.
