Podcasting leaders form Association for Downloadable Media

New York—Podcasting industry leaders announced the formation of the Association for Downloadable Media (ADM), with the goal of developing standardized audience measurement and advertising for downloadable media.

ADM will focus primarily on podcasting, downloadable media and portable content supported by advertising and sponsorships.

The association will explore revenue generated from advertising and sponsorships of podcasts, video podcasts and other content distributed by RSS, ATOM, peer-to-peer and mobile devices.

ADM will work in conjunction with other industry associations, including the Interactive Advertising Bureau and American Association of Advertising Agencies.
