San Francisco--Post Communications, San Francisco, and DoubleClick, New York, announced Wednesday separate e-mail marketing moves. Post, which has engineered e-mail marketing for such clients as Compaq Computer Corp.'s Palm Computing, said it has partnered with MediaPlex, San Francisco, to enable e-mail marketing campaigns that deliver pricing and inventory available at the exact time the e-mail is viewed by a business customer. Meanwhile, DoubleClick, New York, purchased for an undisclosed amount Opt-In Email.com, Boulder, Colo., which acts as an e-mail service bureau for such clients as Microsoft Corp. Coming one day after DoubleClick's announcement of its DARTmail suite of e-mail marketing products, the Opt-In Email.com acquisition delivers DoubleClick a 25-client roster and targeted e-mail lists.
