New York--Public relations companies topped $4.63 billion in revenue worldwide in 2000, a 34% increase from 1999, while U.S. companies' revenue increased 33% to $3.38 billion, according to a just-released study by The Council of Public Relations, New York. Demand for specialized services drove market growth. Several sectors showed significant growth, including technology (46%), financial products (37%), industrial (36%) and government (36%).
