PricewaterhouseCoopers buys BearingPoint’s North American Commercial Services practice

New York—PricewaterhouseCoopers announced the acquisition of BearingPoint’s North American Commercial Services practice. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

In February, BearingPoint filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. The U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York has approved the deal with PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Under the terms of the acquisition, PricewaterhouseCoopers has assumed selected contracts of BearingPoint. It has also brought on about 800 former employees of BearingPoint.

PricewaterhouseCoopers also announced the acquisition of two global delivery centers, in Shanghai and in Bangalore, India, from BearingPoint.
