Published on .

Washington--PricewaterhouseCoopers will act as the systems integrator of a $328.4 million information technology contract to make Medicare more efficient. The contract with the Department of Health and Human Services is a major win for the government consulting arm of PricewaterhouseCoopers, Arlington, Va., which is providing extensive strategic services and systems integration to the project. Oracle Corp., Redwood Shores, Calif., and Electronic Data Systems Inc., Plan, Texas, are also participating in the project. The goal is to replace disparate accounting systems with a more efficient, real-time system.
