New York—Prism Business Media announced Thursday it is launching a new magazine, Digital Content Producer, and shuttering the print version of Video Systems.

Digitalcontentproducer.com is already up and running. The first issue of Digital Content Producer will appear in May, with a circulation of 60,000 industry professionals, a 25% increase from the circulation of Video Systems.

There will be no job losses as a result of the shuttering of Video Systems, according to the company.

The new magazine will target the growing number of film video production professionals creating content for distribution platforms such as traditional cinemas and cell phones. The brand will also include e-newsletters, Webcasts and blogs, as well as custom publishing and other integrated marketing channels targeting the $4.3 billion market for professional video and production services.
