Prometheus dismisses rumors about Beckman having a diminished role

Published on .

New York—Prometheus Global Media, publisher of Billboard and The Hollywood Reporter, is battling rumors that CEO Richard Beckman has been demoted. The New York Post reported last week that Beckman would be devoting more time to Prometheus' entertainment division globally.

In an internal memo, Beckman reportedly asked staffers to copy Prometheus Chairman Jimmy Finkelstein on memos and emails while Beckman is traveling looking to build the brands of Prometheus overseas. Finkelstein dismissed rumors that Beckman is being pushed out, telling WWD, "Richard was, is and will be the CEO."
