Published on .

White Plains, N.Y.—Less than a year after selling Canon Communications to UBM, Charlie McCurdy has re-entered b-to-b media. Through a holding company led by McCurdy, Providence Equity Partners has acquired George Little Management, a producer of 15 trade shows in a variety of industries, from Daily Mail and General Trust for about $173 million in cash. “With the help of Providence and the dedicated GLM team, we will seek to take GLM to the next level while identifying additional opportunities to expand our platform in the dynamic trade show space,” McCurdy said in a statement. Jordan, Edmiston Group acted as the financial adviser to Daily Mail and General Trust in the deal.
