Publicis Modem, Colman Brohan Davis

Publicis Modem—Mauro Alencar has been named exec VP-executive creative director at Publicis Modem West. Alencar was previously executive creative director at Organic. In his new role, he will lead the Publicis Modem West creative team and join the executive leadership team of the agency.

Colman Brohan Davis—Chip Grogg has been named executive creative director at strategic branding and creative agency Colman Brohan Davis, Chicago. Previously, he was VP-creative director at Grey Direct. The agency also announced that Richard Strassburger has been promoted to VP-director of strategic planning from director of strategic planning; Gina Miller has been named VP-director of customer engagement from VP-director of client services; and Ron Kohudic has been appointed associate creative director from executive art director.

NK—Nick Nicholson, co-founder and VP-executive creative director at NK, retired Oct. 13. Pete Kovac, co-founder and president-CEO of NK, remains at the head of the agency. Creative duties will be led by Phil Gayter, director of creative services.
