Quad/Graphics acquires Williamson Printing

Sussex, Wis.—Commercial printer Quad/Graphics has acquired Williamson Printing Corp., a Dallas-based specialist in catalogs, books, direct mail and promotional products. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Williamson's two Dallas facilities will join Quad/Graphics' Commercial & Specialty group, which operates three facilities in Wisconsin and one each in Connecticut and Massachusetts. Quad/Graphics is the second-largest commercial printer in North America (behind Chicago-based R.R. Donnelley & Sons). In addition to catalogs, the company prints a number of periodicals, including Newsweek, Time and Sports Illustrated.
