Quad/Graphics completes acquisition of World Color, begins trading on NYSE

Sussex, Wis.—Printer Quad/Graphics Inc. announced Friday that it has completed its acquisition of World Color Press after receiving final court approval and official approval from shareholders of both companies. Quad/Graphics became a publicly traded company on the New York Stock Exchange on Tuesday.

The combined entity had sales of about $4.8 billion in the year ended March 31, according to Quad/Graphics. It has about 28,000 employees working at more than 80 facilities in North America, Latin America and Europe.

“We believe in the power of print in a multichannel media world, and we now have more talent, technology and solutions in more places to better serve our clients well into the future,” Joel Quadracci, chairman and president-CEO of Quad/Graphics, said in a statement.
