Quad/Graphics to invest $13 million in new division

Published on .

Sussex, Wis.—Printer Quad/Graphics announced it has created a new commercial and specialty print division. This new division combines the recently acquired HGI Co. operations in Burlington and Menomonee Falls, Wis., with the commercial and book operations in Enfield, Conn., and Leominster, Mass.

Quad/Graphics purchased the Enfield and Leominster plants earlier this year as part of its acquisition of Worldcolor. Quad/Graphics said it plans to invest $13 million next year in equipment and facility expansions for the new division.

The investment comes on the heels of Quad/Graphics' announcement of five plant closings in the U.S. and one in Quebec.
