Questex Media acquires Oxford Publishing

Newton, Mass.—Questex Media Group said last week that it has acquired Oxford Publishing. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Oxford Publishing produces The Show, one of the largest beverage and food events in North America. The Show includes the Nightclub & Bar Convention and Trade Show, the International Restaurant Show-Las Vegas, and the International Coffee and Tea Expo. All of these events will be co-located in 2008 with HotelWorld Expo and Conference, which is also owned by Questex. Oxford Publishing, which also publishes Nightclub & Bar Magazine, will operate as a subsidiary of Questex. Oxford Publishing President-CEO Ed Meek will continue in that role.

The acquisition of Oxford Publishing comes less than three weeks after Questex acquired Five Star Alliance, an online luxury hotel booking service.
