Published on .

Round Rock, Texas—Dell Inc. announced that Karen Quintos has been named senior VP-CMO, following the announced departure of Erin Mulligan Nelson, who is leaving the company to join Bazaarvoice, an Austin, Texas-based social commerce software company.

Quintos, a 10-year Dell veteran, was most recently VP-marketing for Dell’s global public business, serving the government, education and health care markets.

In her new role, she will be responsible for agency management, brand strategy, global communications and social media.

Last week, Dell announced it is opening a review for a creative agency to handle advertising for its small and midsize business, consumer and public segments. The previous agency was WPP.
