R.R. Donnelley to acquire Perry Judd's Holdings

Published on .

Chicago—R.R. Donnelley & Sons Co. announced Wednesday that it has agreed to buy Perry Judd's Holdings, a Waterloo, Wis.-based magazine and catalog printer, for $176 million.

The all cash deal is expected to close in the first quarter of 2007.

Donnelley said Perry Judd's long- and short-run capabilities for producing business and consumer catalogs, as well as magazines, will complement its own strength in publishing, catalog and retail services.

The deal marks Donnelley's second printer deal in the fourth quarter. On Oct. 31 it announced an agreement to buy Banta Corp. for $1.3 billion.
