Radio ad revenue up 6% in October, flat year-to-date

New York—Total spot and nonspot radio ad revenue rose 6% in October compared with the same period in 2005, according to the Radio Advertising Bureau. National ad dollars grew 14% while local ad revenue was up 2%. Total combined national and local ad sales increased 5% in October compared with the same month last year. However, from January through October overall radio ad revenue was flat compared with the same period in 2005.
