Sept. 1, 2006 New York—Overall radio ad revenue in July from spot and nonspot ads was flat compared with the same month in 2005, according to figures released Thursday from the Radio Advertising Bureau.
Total combined local and national ad sales in July fell 1%. Nonspot revenue was up 12%.
Overall revenue year-to-date was also flat compared with the same period in 2005. Total combined local and national ad sales year-to-date dropped 1% compared with last year. Nonspot revenue rose 9% year-to-date.
The monthly totals are based on the RAB Radio Revenue Index of more than 150 markets.
