RBI to retain unsold brands

By Published on .

New York—Reed Business Information confirmed Tuesday that it will keep the remaining brands it has not yet sold of the 23 b-to-b titles it closed last month.

The company is retaining Chain Leader, Converting, Graphic Arts Blue Book, Graphics Arts Monthly, Purchasing, Restaurants & Institutions and Trade Show Week.

“Ownership of the remaining brands ... will remain with Reed Business Information and will be used to generate qualified leads through Mardev DM2,” the company said in a statement.

Since the closing of the 23 titles, RBI has sold the majority of the brands to their publishing teams. The final deal closed Monday when MB Media, a company formed by former Reed publishers Tony Mancini and Rick Blesi, acquired Construction Equipment, Professional Builder and other construction and building titles.
