Real-time bidding ad revenue to reach $20.8B by 2017

New York—Global ad revenue from real-time bidding will grow from $2.7 billion last year to $20.8 billion in 2017, a compound annual growth rate of 51.0%, according to a study commissioned by ad technology company PubMatic. The study was conducted for PubMatic by researcher International Data Corp., using predictive modeling. In the U.S., revenue from real-time bidding will grow from $2.0 billion last year to $14.4 billion in 2017, the study found. This year, revenue from real-time bidding will account for 14.0% of total digital ad revenue in the U.S., growing to 41.0% in 2017, according to the study.
