Published on .

New York—Reed Business Information (RBI), a division of Reed Elsevier Group, this week cut 41 jobs in the U.S. Reed laid off the employees “because of market softness and its impact on our business,” said Salina Le Bris, a Reed spokeswoman. In March, Reed Elsevier said it would divest RBI in order to reduce its exposure to cyclical advertising markets. The unit’s major titles include Broadcasting & Cable, Multichannel News, Publishers Weekly and Variety.
