Reed Elsevier acquires Accuity for $532 million

London—Reed Elsevier has agreed to acquire Accuity Holdings from investment firm Investcorp for $532 million in cash. Accuity provides online subscription-based data to help financial services companies complete accurate transaction and improve compliance with government regulations. Reed Elsevier said Accuity will complement its Bankers' Almanac and LexisNexis Risk Solutions businesses. The acquisition continues Reed Elsevier's move into paid content businesses. The company sold most of its U.S. trade publication businesses last year.
