London—Reed Elsevier reported Thursday that its revenue increased slightly to 3.457 billion euros in the first half of 2005 compared with 3.349 billion euros in the same period last year. The company said revenue increased 6% in constant currencies. The company’s reported profit before taxes was 372 million euros, down from 379 million euros in the first half of 2004. In constant currencies, its reported profit before taxes increased 4%. On the performance of its b-to-b properties, Reed Elsevier noted in a press release: "Continuing improvement at Reed Business; rapid online growth and exhibitions performing well."
