Reed Elsevier sees stabilization in trade show, advertising spending

London—In its interim report, Reed Elsevier said its Reed Exhibitions unit experienced a decline in square footage for most events this year when compared with last year. However, the company added, the exhibition industry is stabilizing, with growth returning for shows staged in the second half of the year. “Forward space bookings for events in 2011 are encouraging,” according to the company.
