Like many business marketers today, BtoB magazine is at work. Nevertheless, we wish to stop and acknowledge today's date--and remember both the terror and the heroism of a year ago.

BtoB's month-long Web poll found that one in five marketers planned to suspend advertising today, and that more than half (51.8%) intended to "do nothing" in terms of changing their marketing on the first anniversary of the terrorist attacks in New York and Washington D.C.

Just under 10% said they would commemorate the day with special marketing messages. A small percentage of companies (15.6%) indicated they would commemorate the day with a workplace event.
