Report: Corporate Web spending shifts to internal efforts

New York--While corporate spending on Web site development continues to grow, 62% of Web site managers said they are shifting priorities from external customer features to internal improvements, according to a report from Jupiter Media Metrix Inc. Jupiter also released its first Web site analytics forecast, projecting that spending in this area will climb from $497 million in 2001 to $1 billion by 2006.
