Responsys launches new opt-in database

Palo Alto, Calif.--Online direct marketing firm has introduced Acquire, an opt-in database of 120 million e-mail addresses. It allows clients to assemble permission-based lists according to desired demographics and preferences. Responsys, like a growing contingent of direct marketers, placed an emphasis on privacy when building its new database. Responsys' customers include VeriSign Inc. and Land's End Inc.
