Beckman, a former Condé Nast and Fairchild Publications executive, recently renamed e5 Global Media as Prometheus Global Media. That's appropriate because he has a reputation for playing with fire. At Prometheus, Beckman has aggressive plans to generate more consumer advertising for The Hollywood Reporter by reducing the frequency from daily to weekly and expanding circulation.
