Rick Kean wins 2006 G.D. Crain award

Published on .

Chicago—The Business Marketing Association has named Rick Kean recipient of the 2006 G. D. Crain Jr. Award.

Kean was honored for his overall service to the business-to-business marketing community, including nearly 15 years of leadership as BMA’s executive director.

“In a career that spans decades, Rick Kean not only advocated the efficacy of business-to-business marketing, he literally helped shape b-to-b as we know it today,” said John Favalo, chairman of BMA and managing partner at Eric Mower & Associates.

Prior to this position, Kean held various positions at SRDS and Crain Communications Inc., including serving as publisher of Industrial Marketing, BtoB’s predecessor.

The award is presented annually to a BMA member who has exhibited exceptional dedication and support to the organization. It is named after G.D. Crain Jr., the founder of Crain Communications, which publishes BtoB.
