Rockwell FirstPoint upgrades call-center technology

Wood Dale, Ill.--Rockwell FirstPoint Contact Corp., a call center service provider, on Thursday announced it has upgraded its FirstPoint Business Edition technology to include a function that helps companies transition from traditional telephone circuit-based capability to voice over Internet protocol (VoIP), or Internet telephony, capabilities. The company is targeting small and midsize businesses with the new product, which operates on Windows and Intel communications software.
