Romando named 'Sync' editor in chief

Published on .

New York--Ziff Davis Media, publisher of eWeek, announced that Tony Romando has been named editor in chief of Sync, a bi-monthly men’s lifestyle magazine about digital products, set to launch this summer.

Most recently, Romando was executive editor of Men’s Fitness. Prior to that, he was assistant managing editor of Rolling Stone.

“Sync’s goal is to make guys feel both cool and comfortable with technology,” Romando said in a statement. “Gadgets intimidate us (in the same way fashion does). We want to get the most out of what we buy without looking silly in the process. The reality about tech gadgets is you don’t have to be Wormser from 'Revenge of the Nerds' to bust out a PDA anymore.”
