New York—Michael Rooney, chief revenue officer at the Wall Street Journal, is leaving his post, according to several reports.
Rooney joined the Journal in 2007, nine years after launching ESPN the magazine. He oversaw the introduction of the weekend WSJ. magazine in 2008 and has led sales efforts for the print Wall Street Journal and the Wall Street Journal Digital Network.
Previously Rooney helped launch Men's Health and was publisher of Discover and Field & Stream/Outdoor Life.
In addition, Trevor Fellows will join Dow Jones as global head of advertising sales. He joins the company from Bloomberg, where he was head of global media sales for the U.S. and U.K.
