Third round of layoffs at 'The Standard'

Published on .

New York--Standard Media International, the parent company of The Industry Standard and its companion Web site, has reduced its work force for the third time this year, say reports. The cuts, due to the weakening online advertising market, have been across the board, with about six members of the online staff dismissed last week and cuts to the print editorial and sales staff expected later this week. Standard Media cut 69 staffers in February and 36 in January.
